Step one: Lightly sand the broken rod ends to ensure they are straight and free from any splits or cracks. Fine grit sandpaper is ideal, but any sandpaper should work.
Step two: Select a durable, round rod that fits snugly into both broken ends of the fishing rod. This piece should be long enough to insert at least one inch into each broken end. For instance, you can use a small carbon stick, trimming and smoothing the both ends.
Step three: Apply some AB glue inside the hollow ends of the fishing rod and insert the chosen round rod into both broken ends. Ensure you insert at least one inch of the round rod into each section for adequate strength. Work quickly to align the rod sections straight by aligning the eyes, as the glue sets fast.
Step four: For extra durability, wrap nylon thread tightly around the break, covering at least one inch on either side of the break. Secure the thread with a simple knot and trim any excess. Then, apply a thin layer of AB glue over the thread to seal it and allow it to dry. You better use it after 24 hours, allow the glue dry completely.
