Fly fishing has always been about more than just catching fish.

It is about the rivers we explore, the techniques we learn, and most importantly, the people we meet along the way.

Recently, Aventik Sports had the pleasure of supporting Randuk for Lampam Vol. 5, a fly fishing event organized by the Perak Fly Fishing Association in Malaysia. Bringing together passionate anglers from across the region, the event was a celebration of fly fishing, friendship, and the shared excitement of chasing lampam on the fly.

As an Aventik Sports Product Representative, I was honored to be part of this special gathering and experience the passion and dedication within the Malaysian fly fishing community.

The Challenge of Fishing Lampam on Fly

For many fly anglers, targeting lampam is a unique and rewarding challenge.

Lampam are fast, cautious, and highly responsive to their environment. Their behavior can change depending on water conditions, weather, food sources, and fishing pressure.

Through this event, we also had the opportunity to witness many incredible moments from anglers’ fishing journeys — from exciting catches to memorable moments by the river.
